One of the most important aspects of building a yearbook is having content. Photos make up the majority of the content in our yearbook, as we are documenting the many different aspects of daily life at Brookswood.

In this project, you will be taking photos, organizing your files, and designing/creating a 2-page layout to display your images.

Part 1 – Photography (DSLR or Phone Camera)

Capturing photos may seem like a simple process, but like any art form, each person has their own way of doing so. In this portion, consider different ways that you can capture scenes.

Some ideas to consider:
      – Point of View (Worm’s Eye, Bird’s Eye, Neutral)
      – Close Up or Far Away
      – Angle of the camera to the scene
      – Portraits or Full View

Due Feb 19

Part 2 – The Layout

In Part of this project, you will need to design and build a 2-Page layout to display your photos from Part 1.

Just like posters, books, flyers, and so on, 2-Page Layouts have some rules to consider while designing. These are called Elements. Let’s take a look at these elements and some other considerations for your design -> LayoutElements

Another way to help understand these ideas is to look at other examples of this type of work -> LayoutExamples
