Up to now, we have looked at each of the camera’s settings separately. While using Auto and Priority settings can be really helpful in quick situations, working in Manual Mode gives you the most flexibility from a technical and creative standpoint.

In this assignment, you will need to capture 6 different photos (in different lighting environments) using Manual Mode.

Before we jump into the task, let’s do a quick review – ExposureTriangle

As well, let’s look at making Manual Mode adjustments in real time – Exposure Explained (video)

The Assignment – DSLR

Check out the full details of the assignment here – 2aManualMode1

The Self-Assessment can be found here – 2bCriteriaManualMode1

Due Oct 5

While taking your photos, keep in mind some things we have covered in class:
– Composition Ideas (Rule of Thirds and Viewpoints)
– Photo Effects (Depth of Field and Motion)
– What direction is your light source coming from? This can cause big changes in exposure.
