The Yearbook is just one way that we are reporting on the sights and sounds of Brookswood. Each week the school posts a weekly newsletter called The Bobcats’ Den. This publication is sent to all members of the school community and gets roughly 700 weekly views.

As the most active journalist at BSS, we have the opportunity to regularly contribute to this digital publication. You will do so 5 times this semester.


Part 1 – The Layout Template

One of the best ways to streamline your work with this on-going project is create a reusable layout template. It will contain all the base parts that you need, but you can quickly change different parts to better represent the content you report on.

Part 2 – The Posts (x5)

During this semester, you will be required to curate and create 5 Bobcat Beat posts.
These can be about a variety topics around the school – events, field trips, stuff in classes, happenings at lunch, spotlights on specific people, etc.
