Unlike our previous discussions and investigations into Elements of Design, Typography fits more with another category called Principles of Design. In short, Principles are ideas that use a combination of Elements to express different visual and design traits.

Typography is a very expansive and detailed topic. For as long humans have worked with writing, there have been rules, ideas, and experimentation has taken place. Much like colour, typography can also generate unconscious ideas and feelings in the user.
