Up to now we have focused on how to use a camera and how to style photos; but, we haven’t really talked about what we think about photos.

Thinking and analyzing photos is a key component to photography. Photos are meant to generate emotion, tell stories, and create intrigue in audiences. However, talking about these things can be a bit of a challenge for some.

Practice: Take a look at the photo below. What do you notice about it? Think about the topics we have covered in class so far – does the photo display any of these ideas?

The Assignment

For this assignment, you will discuss/critique/share ideas about a series of photos.
