How does a camera work?

Cameras are pretty common part of lives today. Thinking about where we see and use cameras, they range from being a part of phones, built-in to our computers, in our cars, part of our doorbells, and so on.

But, did you know that the general science and design of cameras has not changed much since its creation? And, the a lot what camera’s do is a mimic of what an eye does?

At the end of day, it’s important to keep in mind these six main points when thinking about how camera’s work:

  1. Light
  2. Subject
  3. Optics
  4. Aperture
  5. Time
  6. Medium
