The big item for Term 3 is learning and working with a foundational tool in web development. HTML/CSS are considered framework languages – which means they follow programming rules, but focus more on the creation of a structure that can have addition languages added on it.
HTML/CSS rose in popularity as the internet became more widely available, and the need for websites grew. Today these framework languages are not as common, due in large part to click and drag website builder sites. However, understanding and applying these principles allow for lots of customization opportunities.
For this section you will need to create a free account over at www.codecademy.com
From here, select the Catalog link:

Then select HTML/CSS, and start working.

Along the way, you will need to document and keep track of what you have been working on and covering. The next post will go over this in more detail.
